"SWANSEA Magpies kicked off their new Aussie Rules season at Sketty Lane in emphatic style with a crushing 154-21 win over Cardiff Double Blues.
What made the win all the more impressive was that Cardiff finished just one place below them in the league last season.

The Magpies, fielding a mix of experienced players and some who had never previously played the sport, blew the visitors away in the first quarter with some exquisite inter-passing and fine goal kicking.
The midfield trio of Evan Phillips, Dan Gelabert and Rob Baker's dominance provided the forward line plenty of chances at goal, which they duly took to deliver a 56-1 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Swansea continued the scoring in the second quarter, with four goals and five behinds giving the team a comfortable 85-8 half-time lead.
In the second half, the Magpies took full advantage of the sunshine with some free-flowing hand passing movements up the field, which, combined with some accurate kicking and great marking in space, saw them romp away in the final two quarters.
Half-forward Donal Galvin picked up a personal tally of seven goals and one behind — 64 points on his debut in the sport.
The Magpies will be hoping to build on this result with a tough away trip to last season's runners-up Bristol Dockers next Saturday."
